that time of storytelling when the imagination becomes particularly colourful and opens up spaces for ambiguous experiences of the world.<\/p>\n<p>The modern band sound of this outstanding quintet interweaves minimal music textures with south-eastern European rhythms and melancholic, expressive sounds. Hermenau&#8217;s compositions are inspired by poems, myths and sevdalinka, traditional Bosnian songs.<\/p>\n<p>Her lyrical singing is able to both enhance and contrast the facets of the nocturnal darkness in a poignant way, in some pieces also in unison with saxophone or piano.<\/p>\n<p>The finely tuned interplay with her fantastic fellow musicians makes the music feel inspired.
